Flamingrow Gardens and Heirloom Museum

Flamingrow Gardens and Heirloom Museum is one of our newest efforts. Wiley’s Last Resort has been in the entertainment business since its inception in 1996. The group that became M.A.R.S. Collective has been putting on shows and festivals since 2013. We have always dreamt of bringing in a sustainable gardening element to what we do. This dream has finally come to fruition with Flamingrow Gardens and Heirloom Museum.

We strive to grow mostly heirloom plants. We feel that it is important to keep these historical strains alive. We are keeping information and historical facts about each plant that we grow. We hope that people can learn a little about history as well as sustainability in our plots. There has been a lot of important work in our area to improve access to healthy, local food. There is also a rich tradition of folks in Appalachia being fiercely independent and living off the land. We hope to continue that tradition and build a sustainable future.
